The framing that brought social class into the picture as a primary characteristic that helped define how informed they were struck me as odd. It came off as a little demeaning in my reading of it.
I think the author would be well served by taking a break from the news for a while, and starting back up with a once per week high level summary of the goings on if they want to follow some of it. Most news doesn’t matter in a week, and the big stories will still find people.
I think this is especially true for those who get really caught up in some of Trump’s antics. He plays to the media to get people fired up in an effort to sway a deal he’s trying to make. What he says and what he ultimately wants don’t always align. Slowing the news cycle to learn the ultimate results, rather than the drama along the way, would help calm a lot of people down.
