Most streaming platforms optimise for popularity and similarity. But when people open them, they’re usually trying to match a feeling (“something calm”, “something intense”) rather than a genre.
So instead of Action/Drama/Comedy, I structured the platform around 24 emotional mood categories. Each film is manually placed based on emotional temperature rather than metadata.
