There's an api in chrome 146 canary that that will change the web. WebMCP lets websites register structured tools that ai agents can call directly: no scraping, no selenium, no puppeteer. I implemented it in a demo project (456 lines of typescript, 6 tools) and wrote up what i think this means for the web.
