Why did founders leave Boston for SF? What are some differences?

Both are very liberal. I suspect that SF became a tech hub first, so acquired better networking, but I wouldn’t know. Although if that’s the case, then why did SF’s hub form first?

Perhaps Boston can make an argument that California's wealth tax will march down the net worth boundaries.

If they can get a group of those founders to come back that could be the start of something new.
