It's based on the top 1 million websites list published by Cisco Umbrella, which has 100 billion daily requests and 65 million active users.
Surprisingly, of all the AI websites mapped, only 526 rank in the top 1,000,000 global websites. So there's a long way to go before AI is saturated :)
Note: this does not include websites where the main function is not AI.
