Its outcome will shape everything from America’s national security to the development of ai. It could also make an ai-enabled disaster more likely.
Ignoring one's feelings about the current personalities involved: do we want a democratically elected government in charge of AI? Or do we want unelected companies and their billionaire bosses to be in charge of AI?
