This seems like a really hard needle to thread, especially in a system that doesn’t reward nuance. I browse Reddit without a user, and one thing I noticed is that the front page like a year or two ago started pushing /r/conservative to the front page, and like most of what people talk about on the internet aren’t informed takes. They’re takedowns. So I think counterintuitively, like reading thefp.com, or reading opinions I disagree with actually increase my polarization. I have to go out and find the voices that I think are thoughtful and don’t just say “woke bad” every other sentence. And this isn’t unidirectional, I know that the way a lot of people on the left talk online - it’s just not meant for discourse.

Those voices are out there, but I suspect since we’re all different it actually requires self curation, not Twitter showing liberals a few random libs of tik tok and end wokeness posts shuffled in. So I think this could work, but I wonder how curated these experiments were in ways that might not translate.
