Ask HN: What are some good AI usage policies?

1•recvonline•1h ago
I am looking into different AI usage policies in Open Source software.

One good example is Ghostty: https://github.com/ghostty-org/ghostty/blob/main/AI_POLICY.md

I just want to get inspired and get as much pros/cons as possible to form and write my own!

Don't let it touch databases or prod. Minimize the impact crater

what ghostty seems to be getting at is contributions to the project that use Ai tools.

disclose use of the AI tool.

submit quality work, of a craftsman wielding a tool with skill.

just because some of the work is deferred, does not mean expectations are as well.
