I built ups.dev - an open-source alternative to Statuspage.io that focuses on simplicity and performance.

The project started because existing solutions felt too enterprise-heavy for indie projects. I wanted something that looked professional but didn't require enterprise pricing or complex setup.

Tech stack: Ruby on Rails 8, SQLite, Turbo, Tailwind CSS. The open-core model means the full status page functionality is free forever, our managed service just handles hosting, monitoring, and backups.
