Drunk loser Hegseth has tried to get everything but satellites cancelled. Thankfully congress told him no, and demanded E-7 Wedgetail get built, but sure seems like it's the Hegseth and the air forces' desire to be as shit at airborne aew&c as it was at space in general, wanting to only mess around in dogfighters for no clear reason. It's a crying pity Space Force had to be built, that the Air Force so very much doesn't want any job but lethalitymaxxxing warfighterzzzz jet fighters (that 99% are just expensive bombers), even if that's not at all what's needed, but so it seems to be going, and it's pathetic but at least Space Force now exists and gets to do what the Air Force fucking wouldnt.
But that situation feels only more out of balance when it comes to submersibles. This is the one and only domain where it is still hard as heck for people to ascertain what is going on. Various nations have been slowly ploddingly moving towards building new attack subs. But just as fool Hegseth is eager to fall over this tiny dick in the dark as long as he gets to killmaxxx as many people in international waters or abroad as he can, these countries seem totally uninterested in winning the signals intelligence war to actually try to figure out who else is down there, doing what.
The drone war on the land and in the sky seem somewhat less important than the drone war under the sea, that can tell us what the nuclear and/or non-nuclear weapons carrying otherwise-invisible super weapons are up to. We direly need vastly more sensors.
We also ideally to not be destroying the hearing of everything else around us in a 20 mile radius too. Which was already a problem we weren't owning up to before our theocratic extremists like Whiskey Pete took over.
