Show HN: TopMail – LaunchFest Winner, $20/Mo Unlimited Email, Coding Agents API

Hey HN, I'm Nick. TopMail just won Best in Show at Jason Calacanis's LaunchFest 2026. Now I need real users, not judges — so here we are.

The problem: email marketing platforms charge you more as your list grows. A 50k list on Klaviyo runs $790+/mo. On Mailchimp it's $630+. The underlying cost of sending email is fractions of a penny. The markup is enormous.

TopMail is $20/mo flat. Unlimited contacts, unlimited sends. We run on SES, deliverability is solid, and we pass the savings through instead of marking up 10-50x.

Built API-first: full REST API, Node SDK (npm install @topmail/sdk), and docs specifically for coding agents. You can create contacts, build campaigns, and trigger sends entirely from code or from an AI agent. No dashboard clicking required.

AI is built in for generating email copy, subject lines, and campaign optimization — but that's table stakes at this point.

API docs: api.topmail.so/developers. Agent-specific docs: api.topmail.so/developers/coding-agents.

Quick 2-min video showing how TopMail compares to Mailchimp/Klaviyo pricing and a little walkthrough:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WmgM7_CncSc

I'd love feedback on the API, the pricing model, or anything else. Happy to answer questions.

Great job Nick, I've always hated the metered pricing of MailChimp and Klaviyo. I'm going to try this out right now!
njarecki•53m ago
Thanks Jeff, appreciate it! If you hit any snags getting set up, shoot me an email — nick@topmail.so. Happy to help.

Congrats on the LaunchFest 2026 presentation... I think your flat pricing scheme plus the AI integration is amazing. Email marketing definitely needs to be reinvented. Keep me posted on updates.
njarecki•47m ago
Thanks! Happy to keep you posted. If you want to kick the tires, sign up at topmail.so — free tier is 5,000 emails/mo, no credit card needed. And if you have any feedback on the API or product, I'm all ears: nick@topmail.so

Wish I had this back when I had 100,000 mailing list.
njarecki•40m ago
Really means a lot coming from you, Phil. If you ever spin up another list, we're here 100.

Man, I really appreciated this guy’s authenticity. Finally, we’ve got straight shooter who can help us little guys get REAL customers without breaking the bank on all that needless bell and whistle crap every marketing “guru” has been serving up the past decade.

I’m really excited to use TopMail to drive my existing and new customers directly to my website and away from the monolithic overlord platforms.

TopMail is what the internet was designed for - openness, community, and the ability for small guy with a great product (and a little bit of pluck) out there in the world to thrive !
