Show HN: Learn from AI Experts

https://teach-me.replit.app/
4•techypicky•1h ago
I built a Replit app for something i constantly do with LLMs - I always ask Gemini about books on a certain topic, then ask the llm to give me a summary of the book its chapters - this helps me: 1. keep the llm grounded as a real expert (instead of saying pretend to be an engineering expert, give it a distributed systems book and then ask opinions on it) 2. helps me discover and buy books! Once i go through book concepts and chat with llm about it, i'm more convinced to buy it and dig deeper on low level on it

So i built an app through Replit on it, try it on

Cheers!

Interesting approach! very odd to se this as a legal site! glad you are using it to buy the books though
techypicky•1h ago
Yeah i mean all of the world books are in the LLM in a way, but they dont give the full script, basically compressed summaries .. i can say for sure all LLMs miss critical details from book text, so i still recommend ppl buy the books!
mastermindSDE•1h ago
Ive been doing something similar .. didn't think of creating an app for it!

Would be nice to add book links on amazon or smthn to buy book and check reviews

Glad someone else is doing this! Underrated use of LLMs tbh - basically distilling the llm to our brains xD

Ill try to scramble something with links, not sure if can be done reliably.
