Not a moment too soon in my opinion. That said, skimming the article it seems it's more a case of linear TV is going away, replaced by streaming, YouTube, TikTok and whatnot. They mention stark decline across all scripted categories.

Personally I haven't watched regular TV in over a decade. I get my TV series fix from streaming services like HBO and my edutainment fix (and actually informative videos) from YouTube.
