I had been under the impression that he was already back at Digg full time for the previous re-launch. It was only when seeing Diggnation after the most recent shutdown that I found out that wasn’t the case… though I kind of had that impression due to who I ended up interacting with when reporting issues.
Based on this post, I get the impression that he’s going to ask AI how to solve the problem of AI bots, which does not inspire hope. When Digg relaunched the goal was clear that it should be focused on humans, not AI. Having AI write the blog about what’s next doesn’t jive well.
