I spent days building a monitoring wrapper for my cron job when I had failures and didn't know it.

I figured this is something others might need and decided to build an entire monitoring service where it is as easy an adding one line of code.

PingRudy monitors cron jobs by waiting for a ping. If your job doesn't check in on time, you get alerted. Add context to the ping to provide you with context about why it failed or if it succeeds, not just that it ran. Additionally, you can track the beginning and end of the cron job to avoid any long-running cron job and track performance.
