Ask HN: What are your best Claude Code custom spinner verbs?

1•freedomben•2h ago
What are some of your favorite claude code custom spinner verbs? Some of my personal favorites (written by me but feel free to steal):

"Hallucinating and spewing slop into your codebase",
      "Ripping off GPL'ed code",
"Appreciating the elegance of this project",
"Forging historical documents to rewrite history",
      "Deleting the entire filesystem",
      "Running amok with no guardrails",
      "Getting approval from Apple",
"Spamming Github repos with bad pull requests",
      "Wasting time on HN",
      "Deleting all my social media",
      "Exploring the solar system",
      "Examining insects in the backyard",
"Doing the kid's science projects for them",
      "Driving the kids to school",
"Saying 'Working' like the TOS computer",
I also had AI generate a ton of Star Trek verbs and other shows I like, shared here: https://gist.github.com/FreedomBen/e8deeeb2c950fc82fef6a4f09adc4be5

haha these are actually great, some of these hit a little too close to home

i’ve been playing around with a few like this as well, nothing too clever, just stuff that feels like what’s actually going on while coding:

- okay why is this suddenly broken - hold on… this was literally working a minute ago -trying one more thing before i give up” - nope, that made it worse - guess i’m opening stack overflow again - there’s no way it should be this complicated - i’ll just leave it like this for now - not touching that file, not today - good enough, moving on - i’ll come back and fix this later

and yeah that star trek working… one is kind of perfect, simple but it just fits
