The thing that keeps bugging me about hosted agent platforms is that you're paying for compute + model + platform margin, and you can't swap any of those independently. When the underlying model regresses (which happens every few months now) you're stuck waiting for the platform to update. The BYOK approach where you run your own agent with your own keys is less polished but you keep control of the one variable that matters most, which model is actually generating your code.
