Show HN: I'm trying to get 100 users in 24 hours with this simple idea

https://buildfeed.co
2•moodiverse•1h ago
I’ve been working on a small project called Buildfeed – a place where you can post what you’re building instantly, without setup or “launch” pressure.

I currently have ~40 users, and I’m trying an experiment:

Can I reach 100 users in the next 24 hours?

No ads, no audience, just posting and sharing.

If you’re building something, you can try it here: https://www.buildfeed.co

I’ll update this thread with what happens (what works / what doesn’t).

Curious if anyone here has struggled with sharing projects consistently. That’s the main thing I’m trying to solve.

This is a clever experiment. The idea of removing friction makes a lot of sense, especially for early stage projects where you do not want to launch yet

These fake engagement accounts are not very convincing and make me distrust your product.

Interesting idea. I've noticed the same problem.

Thanks

Cool idea and experiment. Getting to 100 users without distribution will be interesting — looking forward to seeing what actually moves the needle for you.

You believe that this isn't an ad? That posting and sharing is not marketing?

This doesn't inspire me to participate. This inspires me to think you are trying to bypass HN's dislike of self-promotion by labelling your marketing as "an experiment".

The slew of brand new accounts responding to the post further makes me feel like you are absolutely trying to scam the HN community.

Quick update: I realised posting was broken earlier (facepalm). Fixing it now. If you tried and it didn’t work, that’s on me.

Ask HN: Why people still use GCP and AWS?
