Amazon Luna Shuts Down without refunds?

3•abtinf•2h ago
Just received this email from Luna:

Thank you for being part of the Amazon Luna community – it truly means a lot to us! We’re reaching out to share an update about how Amazon Luna is evolving - and what it means for you.

At Amazon, we’re always looking for ways to better serve our players. Your feedback has been clear: you want easy access to great games, more social experiences, and a steady flow of new content from developers you know and love. As our library continues to grow, more of that content is available to Prime members — and that’s where we’re focusing our future.

What’s changing? Starting April 10, 2026, Amazon Luna will no longer offer game stores, individual game purchases or third-party subscriptions. You’ll still be able to play any games you've already purchased and access your third-party subscription benefits (as long as that subscription remains active) until June 10, 2026. After that date, these games will no longer be available on Luna.

What’s staying—and getting even better? We’re doubling down on a broad range of gaming experiences, including strong third-party titles, delivered in ways that make great games more accessible, as well as new and unique gaming experiences like GameNight.

A thank-you for being part of Amazon Luna! As a thank-you for your support, we'd like to offer you a free Luna Premium subscription, at no charge. You will receive a separate email on or after June 10, 2026 with details on how to claim your complimentary offer.

We appreciate you being part of our journey, and we're excited to continue delivering great games and gaming experiences through Luna Standard and Luna Premium!
