On a mission to provide the cleanest, AI-ready social media data on the internet.

Hey all!

I'm a developer from London, building and launching different things from small to big products. As many of you will probabbly know, building is the easiest step in 2026, but it's the distribution that actually matters.

This hit me hard as well. Building is a blast, but when it comes to marketing, I would stress out so much. So after watching like 500 hours of different marketing videos on YT, reading Reddit, podcasts etc., I realised successful marketers all have a system they can use.

I wanted to set up a system that could read from X, Reddit, Threads, Instagram and alert me with any potential posts that I could write a comment on, or see an opportunity to get viral - by monitoring which posts are blowing up.

But then I quickly realised you'd need an individual API key (if they provide it) for each platforms. I usually got them by searching through Apify, Rapid API or scrolling through Github.

The problem with these were that not only the data sources were all fragmented, but had different structures, and documentations - making the AI not very good at dealing with them and wasting tokens! So, I knew that there had to be a better way.

One of my favourite tools out there is firecrawl.dev, a service that let's you crawl any websites and get clean, AI ready data. Then I thought why isn't there something that is similar for social media data?

So I quickly got to building it, with a mission to provide the internet with the cleanest social media data - one API, single unified schema, ready for AI.

After building it, this weekend I was proud to launch socialcrawl.dev, and got it up and running. I've also built agent skills and MCPs to make the use of it much easier. Also, super happy to have got my first customer within the 24 after launching (through Threads).

Love to hear your take on it, and let me know if there is another social media data that isn't on the list, I'll try my best to add it promptly.

Happy hacking all!!
