I spent the last 3 days modifying cheetahclaws to continue using Claude Opus 4.6 in a context of API direct billing : vanilla Claude Code is consuming way too much tokens. I found a few tricks to drastically reduce input tokens, while keeping the same output quality. Here is a mostly working fork, and more important, a readme detailing the core ideas, so that more people can iterate on them.
