I tried Android native terminal app, it still says Experimental, the experience was super bad. I used Pixel 10, because it has HDMI over USB-C support, throw in a Keybowrd and mouse and you're looking at a system with 12GBs of RAM. But there multiple issues:
1. Terminal crashed as soon as I connected the display port, needed restarting, multiple times.
2. The display output is 1080p, ie it looks very bad or a low resolution system on a 4K monitor, while Samsung Dex or Motorola's "ready for" gives 4K output.
3. Web authentication of cli apps like Gemini, firebase, qwen etc is tedious as it gives a callback on some local port. You'll have to open the chrome browser and copy the URL manually and then paste it, before that ensure there's no whitespace while copying and before that you'll have to open the port.
4. Even after multiple tries, terminal kept crashing, while termux is performing amazing, like natively opening the browser for auth, speed etc.
Hoping with Android 17 launch, it gets better. Care to share your experience?
