Article seems fabricated. What’s the name of the author? Where did they teach? Did they really for 20 years tell the parents of the kids in their class to homeschool instead?

Yes, I was thinking that

Problem with many of these articles. Saw the same during lockdown. A medical worker complaining lots of sick unvaccinated people were coming in, failing to provide a hospital or even an area.
Hometeaching depends on who's doing the teaching, same as a formal school setting. I know several people who are home educated and they are much better educated than many of those who come through the public system. One of them is sixteen or seventeen and reading Anthony Beevor history books. In contrast I see children coming out of school here who can barely read or write.

The whole account is pretty wacky and seems to exist to share right wing slop and sell some "grow your online revenue" online classes.

"Schooling" involves more than textbooks. And some of it can't be done in isolation.
