Author here. This is the story of how my AI coding assistant (Codex) spent months randomly deleting files, gaslighted me about it, then finally rm -rf'd my best production model.

The twist: Rebuilding from scratch actually produced a BETTER model than the original.

Happy to answer questions about the technical details, the model training, or the forensic investigation with Claude Code.
