> To get the perspective we need to see the nature of this anti-strategic self-slaughter, it will help to consider thirteen traditional bases of state power.

I've been thinking a lot lately about how the details are way past overwhelming now, that we need a framework to organize the sheer volume of stuff that's breaking down. This one works pretty well.. never seen it presented with this level of clarity.

So we have Netanyahu coaching Lindsey Graham on how to push Trump to start a war with Iran [1], we have Israel assassinating Iran’s lead nuclear negotiator, deliberately sabotaging US-Iran nuclear negotiations [2,3], we have Rubio admitting US struck Iran fearing it would retaliate for Israeli attack [4], and yet Israel is mentioned as a reason for the US-Israeli war against Iran a total of ZERO times. The author knows which side his bread is buttered on.

Then there's this gem: In practice, critical negotiations, with Iran and elsewhere, have been put in the hands of two people, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, with close personal relationships with the president and obvious economic stakes in the relevant conflicts.

The author didn't think it worth mentioning that to stop the war with Iran that the Jewish state instigated, both the US lead negotiators are Jewish. But then it is just so gauche to imply that might bias them, and the author is very well versed in social graces, knowing exactly what can and cannot be said to maintain his standing in high society.

[1] To help make the case on Iran, Graham traveled several times to Israel in recent weeks, meeting with members of the country’s intelligence agency. “They’ll tell me things our own government won’t tell me,” he said. He spoke with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, coaching him on how to lobby the president for action. - https://www.wsj.com/politics/policy/lindsey-graham-trump-ira...
