Kids have devices all over their houses and in their social circles. They don’t need to also have school revolve around them. I also see some schools forcing parents to check into those same websites they force students into, basically creating busy work for exhausted parents. Not to mention, all of it is one giant security risk, as we recently saw with Canvas being hacked (see https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=48103668).

A couple things I really want schools to get rid of: laptops/tablets in classrooms, digital portals that cause privacy breaches, and the entire concept of homework (so kids have time in the evening with their families).
