Does Product Hunt still work for indie projects?

1•sureshofcbe•46m ago
Solo indie dev here. I launched my open‑source project on Product Hunt today and it’s basically invisible. The top products are all VC‑funded or backed by big teams with built‑in audiences. Mine is stuck at the bottom with almost no traffic.

Is this just how PH works now? Does an indie project have any realistic chance without an existing following? Looking for honest guidance from people who’ve shipped before.

Curious about this myself - did you get friends and others to upvote you?
sureshofcbe•27m ago
Actually i thought the platform would really does the work. my bad. I just posted the launch in Linkedin, X. I do not have big audience over there. I did not ask any of friends to upvote. To be frank, I do not even think they have an account in PH.
