A Wikipedia and news podcast by LLMs that isn't terrible

i mean, obviously i don't think it's terrible because i made it and keep producing them. it can be difficult to listen to if you don't like kokoro + rvc voices, but it really is surprising that it isn't terrible. i learn stuff almost every episode.

i produce the scripts with a skill and render the audio with src.xmvp.org which i also made (it's a bunch of frankly confusing CLIs, but you can do a lot of fun stuff with it if you try)

anyway, sorry if you think it's terrible. Firesign Theatre was a big inspiration and that can be a little grating at times too. measured wartime satire isn't always comfortable, or something

I know that Internet strangers can be harsh, but don't let the trolls win with "anyway, sorry if you think it's terrible".

I'm not big on podcasts, so this isn't for me personally, but it seems like a cool idea. Wikipedia's random page function has a lot of fans, so I can see the value for people who want to learn random stuff from a podcast.

thanks! it's kind of more like an old radio show. i pre-troll myself in many directions.

and btw, not random pages: each episode is centered on 5 Verge stories, 5 USA Today stories, and 5 heavily edited Wikipedia pages from the past week (or past few days when it was 2/week). so it's kinda like John Oliver, but it has an absurd meta-story about the four writer-performers too.

in episode 5 iirc mark zuckerberg hacks into hacker news
