Observability was built for humans.

The next generation of observability will need to serve AI as well.

At Blueground, we’ve been rethinking telemetry through that lens as part of our broader observability transformation. After publishing Part 1 on Logging, we’re now sharing Part 2 of our “A Software Engineer’s Guide to Observability” series, focused on APM & Distributed Tracing.

The article covers both the fundamentals and an emerging reality: traces are becoming one of the richest sources of context for AI-assisted engineering workflows.

I hope it’s useful for engineering leaders, platform teams, SREs, and software engineers looking to prepare their systems for an AI-first future.
