Why did I create my own PaaS as indie hacker and made it open-source?

Why another paas ? There are already Vercel, Railways, Coolify, Dokploy and 100 more. Glad you asked. Those are great. But Some feels too many features, outdated and other just suck your bank balance when your project get more and more users. I tried to balance those. No surprise bills, No Vendor lock. You own your VPS, data and everything. You are responsible when things goes wrong.

Who is it for? - Well pretty much anyone who wants to host their projects and manage them with ease. Specially solo dev, indie devs who doesn't want a surprise bill when project take off but have a modern paas experience where they control everything.

How is it different from others ? if you compare it with open-sourced paas then I think all of them are great, but either they have way to many features that I never used, or they are missing for features that I really need. So I made a balanced version of my own. example: Vulnaribility detection of packages and two click fix without writing a single line of code. Now a days it's crazy how often packages are compromised. - Database explorer + edit data table from ui + run queries: I find it very useful, because I don't have to use another platform just to view and modify my data. and cli feel chunky and confusing.

It feels live Vercel, but u can deploy full-stack apps + databases and support any frameworks + programming languages. without the surprise bills and vendor lock.

If you are curious, give it a try with some demo projects. I'm sure you will like it too.

Keep shipping cool projects.
