i created https://daylight.readuncut.com/ which tracks the money in politics, from PACs to donations and then it also tracks the candidates position and if it aligns with their positions from the outside money they are taking.

I really tried to focus on the design so it was visually easy to see and understand the flow of money in the politics and also the scale really at every level from ballot questions to state to federal. this has been a labour of love but it's finally out there.

This uses public data from state level agencies and the FEC.
