Ask HN: Have you ever given your AI agent a phone number?

2•sameersri2004•1h ago
As Agents do more and more work. They need more access to real-world tools such as mail and phone numbers, payments, etc. Recently I gave a phone number to my Hermes. It's doing a lot of tasks now, from booking apartments to setting up medical appointments for me.

If somebody wants to know how I did it, I've used agentmail for giving an email, agentline for giving a phone number, and prava payments for payments. I tried to integrate it with tools which are easy to integrate, just through a skill file, that's why I used them. At the same time I'm thinking of giving it more access to the world, like getting a bank account or rent a human thing also at the same time using the best models too..
