This feels so wrong. If it were paid I’d call it shamelessly exploitative. A “soulmate” is not an imaginary person that you find physically attractive, it’s supposed to be someone real that you share a deep connection with.
We’re facing a loneliness crisis and there are toxic communities such as the manosphere leading people to unreasonable selfish expectations and situations like “dating” chatbots. This tool is another log in that fire, incentivising unrealistic unhealthy expectations. People will either not care about the sketch or be unhealthily attached to something which isn’t real. I see no real positives to this tool, but serious negatives.
I’ll also call bullshit on the AI generation. Despite saying it’s generating a sketch and analysing the traits and whatnot, the tool is clearly deterministic. Pick the same answers, get the same portrait.
