I’ve been using Google Tasks for years.
It’s fast, simple, and lives inside Gmail — which is why I stuck with it.
But at some point it stops working.
Everything turns into one long flat list, and once you use multiple Google accounts, it gets messy fast.
I didn’t want to switch to something heavier like Jira or Asana. I just wanted Google Tasks to handle a bit more complexity.
So I built something for myself on top of it.
The idea is simple: keep Google as the source of truth, but make it easier to actually use day-to-day — mainly around grouping tasks, handling multiple accounts, and having a clearer “today” view.
I’ve been using it as my main workflow for a while now.
Curious if others tried pushing Google Tasks further,or just switched to something else.
