Ask HN: Want to set the position for my product, but I don't know where I stand?

1•zainsheikh•1h ago
I want to position my product on internet, I have been building skimming for a long time now, it was back in 2023, when i started this and launched in 2024 for chat with pdf, and images and videos etc and i keep adding all the features like tiktok, instagram.

Now i am building that you can also create chatbots using your data sources. But its a direct competitor of many chatbots you can create for sites. and I honestly dont want to sell that feature. What i want is to set a position that this product is this and these are the icps of this product.

Now honestly what i want is to build a feature like people today add a playlist from youtube and give to us, now what i want is to subcscribe to that list so when new videos land,m i can be able to fetch that and user can see transcription and also the summary and chat with that So instead of watching a 40-min video, you read the summary in 2 mins, and if something catches your eye you ask questions like "what did he say about pricing?" and later this expands to newsletters, blogs, X, etc. One feed for everyone you follow, instead of opening 5 apps.

My questions for you: 1. Would you actually use this, or does it sound nice but you'd never open it? 2. What creators/channels would you subscribe to first? 3. Would you pay ~$10/mo for it? If not, what would make it worth that?

Don't be polite "I wouldn't use this because X" is the most useful reply you can give me
