I am surprised to see people list working at a small company as better than a large firm, reporting being happier there. I associate small startups with chaos and extreme stress.
Also this survey needs to just divide the answers by class more. It is laughable that they report that founders and CEOs are the most happy and most optimistic- of course they are, they can use AI and threats of layoffs to squeeze and terrorize their employees more while making more money. That isn't a novel or interesting result.

While there are bad companies to work for of any size, in my experience, small companies tend to be much more enjoyable and meaningful to work for.
But "small company" doesn't have to mean "startup". I'd be unlikely to work for a startup that isn't mine. Fortunately, most small companies aren't startups.
