Show HN: Maps for e-scooters (hills and battery routing)

https://battmap.com
2•thepaulthomson•1h ago
I built BattMap, AMA!

Living in San Francisco is hilly. Google Maps is great for bike maps, but I wanted to know if my scooter could make it up the hills, how much battery it would burn, and if I could make it back home without recharging it.

Love the idea, but for Chicago on an ebike- it's off. Same issue as every other map for bikes tool. Sends you down some technically valid, but fairly sus routes, that I would never take (ie the route maker you're using as an underlyer is probably to blame.) It also is doing weird stuff like skipping green ways (idk if those exist in SF, but they're nominally safer here).
