'Rust makes coding fun again': Why Linux is moving away from C

While I don't hate Rust (even have a couple of private projects written in Rust, and plan to use it in the future also), I wouldn't really call it fun, as a personal opinion. I find Rust code usually pretty ugly, and some of the abstractions can make it challenging to understand. Compared to it, C is plain and simple. I still find more joy in writing C code - though for some goals it isn't my first choice.

I don't hate Rust conceptually or on principle or anything, but I do find it an unpleasant language to use.

But from what Greg Kroah‑Hartman said, it sounds like Linux has too many dev contributers anyway, so they won't miss my contributions going into the future and I won't have to program in Rust. Win-win!

As long as they're having fun :)
