As someone who who turns the knobs on any equipment I encounter just to feel if they have the right haptics, I appreciate their attention to mechanical UX.

As someone who enjoys driving a manual transmission car, I'd rather something like this over the "up or down" manual mode gate in most automatic car shifters these days. Not because I think it's going to feel perfect, or because I'm under any illusions that I'd be able to do anything the computer didn't want to do, but because those stupid manual mode gates have such short throws that the experience of using them is worse than just leaving it in auto.

Basically you drive your ferrari witha Fanatec or Mozza simracing device.
