Claude Is Painful

5•kderbyma•5h ago
I cannot be the only person who feels this way. Claude is antogonistic and frankly an absolute nightmare to use. SLOW is an understatement... I get faster output from a 16GB mac mini using deepseek 8B model....and not much worse output...

I ask Gemini something. I get a response in 10 seconds and its long and well detailed. I ask claude, it wastes my tokens talking to itself, makes insulting stupid and frankly rude shortcuts that have no basis in reason except for Anthropics profits...

Its unuseable. It will just cough up a half complete reaponse, deciding to strip everything out of value...place nothing useful in, leave half finished files and then worst of all...it doesnt even putput them and leaves them in its own private memory...until you ask for them explocitly and it regenerates rhem again at full cost....its just pure fraud. No further notes. Thoughts?

For example...I started to ask claude something before I wrote this....its been 10-15 minutes still chugging...and it gave me 500 words of output to satisfy my curiosity......

I've also found Claude to be basically useless lately, I've switched entirely to Codex for now
locusofself•5h ago
I'm using copilot cli because I work at microsoft and it's free for me. It has all the models. I have not loyalty to any of them. Even the copilot harness can be swapped out for claude, codex or whatever.

I have used co pilot chat gpt and claude all to build apps. The important thing to remember i have found is soon as you are a paying customer and you instruct each of them ..Be direct tell me the facts ...no bullshit you totally get different positive results... Alot of peoples answers they receive is also because they dont know how to ask ai correct questions .
