I click. I see an anime girlie bot challenge screen. I hear zoomer pop in ~32k 16-bit stereo. I see JavaScript animations and a seizure-inducing vibecoded layout. I close the tab.

"Miss the old web?" The author wasn't even born then.

suobset•8h ago
Well I am on the millennial/Gen Z cusp, and I think the new "old web" is a recreation of the corner of the Internet that puts humans before bots (as opposed to faithfully recreating it). Then again this website feels like it's doing a little too much.
floren•8h ago
Or too little... aside from themes and music and a chatbox there's not much to it.
coffeeindex•7h ago
They were clearly just having some fun with the site..
abracadaniel•6h ago
Also, this seems exactly like what the classic web would’ve looked like if we’d had the ability to do it.

try as hard as you can, you can't hide the claude style of frontend. get out, poser

This is literally everything terrible about web design in $CURRENT_YEAR.
