Show HN: Follow primary sources, and know first

2•jaredwiener•10h ago
Hello all --

Want to share a new project I just launched. (https://pro.forth.news)

Forth Pro is a platform to monitor and be alerted to newsworthy primary sources' updates, as soon as they happen.

Your success hinges on your ability to react quickly to external events. Speed and reliability are paramount, when you need to get ahead of a story, respond to a new regulation or policy, or prepare for natural disasters.

To confidently know first, you need to hear it from the source.

Look through news articles covering the top stories; the outlet does not matter. Not just the headlines, but deep in the article, and look for sourcing. A big share of these articles will be based around an update that was pushed to reporters in some form of press release, or posted to certain places online for journalists to constantly check.

The problem is that there are too many of these to keep tabs on. Subscribing to email lists, finding and constantly refreshing webpages – including some that may only have a pertinent update every few weeks or so – is a full time job on its own.

Would love to hear your thoughts.
