Fretengine: Visualize chord and scale relationships on the guitar fretboard

Most guitar education resources demonstrate concepts in isolation: chord charts, scale patterns, CAGED zones. It can be difficult for guitarists to intuitively understand the relationships between these concepts when information is so disconnected.

To help guitarists build a more intuitive understanding of the fretboard rather than relying on rote memorization, I built a practice tool that allows you to layer various theory concepts together on the same fretboard.

The tool can layer chords, scales, CAGED zones, and more and has a built-in metronome that's wired to the visuals so you can also animation progressions and quiz on notes. It also happens to have a complete collection of chord voicings and scale patterns (think Guitar Grimoire).

I've personally found it super useful for my own practice and early users agree. Wanted to share here in case others find it useful. More on the motivation: fretengine.com (direct app link is on the post header).

Do folks find this approach helpful? Would love to hear your feedback!
