Proposed UK data centres could pay £100M in deposits for power demands

Title edited a bit to clarify that it's UK datacentres, and that it's specifically proposed ones - apparently the network is being swamped by speculative applications for grid connection and this might help weed out the non-serious candidates.

Original title was "Data centres could pay hundreds of millions in deposits for power demands"

Fotis-Karmpas•19m ago
hm what about water demands! iam not against building data centres but i think environmental effects should take a centre stage.
