I've always been a pretty avid user of Untappd because my husband is a beer drinker. I would look up the beers he was drinking so he could see the tasting notes and other peoples photos so he could know what to order. But that's just it, Untappd felt like it was ONLY for him. Sure, it does have ciders and other drinks, but they feel like an afterthought. With Untappd having been around for so long as well, the UI just feels like it needed a whole overhaul. So I thought to myself, what if I built something that I WANTED TO USE? And so only April 1, the idea of Drinqly was born. My core focus when building it was that ANYONE could use it. It didn't matter if you were a beer drinker, wine snob, a mocktail connoisseur, a coffee or tea sipper, you could use Drinqly. The part of it, I didn't want it to just be a database.
