Thanks for the old.reddit link. Thank goodness they still work, too.

It comes across to me like he hasn't done anything wrong and is needlessly conciliatory. That said, the psychological effects he describes are things I've seen mentioned before, and seem potentially quite damaging. I hope that his decision to pull back is helpful.
