Show HN: MPEdb a drop in replacement for SQLite3 with concurrency support

https://github.com/punnerud/mpedb
2•punnerud•1h ago
Hi, the last weeks I have used 3x my 20x Anthropic tokens budget during the holiday to build a server less database like Sqlite3 with concurrency support like PostgreSQL.

Faster on most benchmarks and 100% on internal unit tests for SQLite3, CPython, Django and SQLAlchemy. Testet on multiple Django projects with 0 errors.

The concurrency support faster than for PostgreSQL and SQLite3. Check out the benchmarks sections for more details.

Still early development, but the results looks promising. Testet on Linux, MacOS, Windows and WASM in the browser.

Check out the PySpell feature, that let you write in Python similar code that converts to AST and Rust, so you can make safe functions attached to triggers.

Also check out rRETL, two way ETL functions that guarantee that transformations one way also can be reversed by adding the residuals back.

One of the real tricks is the MPEE engine that use the tricks from route optimization of cars, to speed up queries by converting select/update/inserts into a NxN matrix inspired by one of my other projects (github.com/punnerud/mpee)
