After getting laid off, I was looking for ways to reduce my expenses. One of those expenses was Zenbusiness. Now, Zenbusiness was useful to set up an LLC for a newbie. But after several years, I've noticed that they didn't provide much value for a small establish LLC like mine. Especially for what they were charging. So I began looking for a replacement.
I realized I only needed 2 things to replace ZB: a registered agent and compliance reminders. I found a cheap registered agent that has been around for decades in Delaware and transferred it over. However, this particular agent had no tools.
So I ended up over-engineering a reminder app to support any state. Here's what I built so far.
Right now, the app allows you to import all your LLCs in any by looking their public entity information, their filing history, and generate email reminders for it. That's it.
