Show HN: Learning Nix with LabCraft

https://www.labcraft.dev/
3•anandsuresh•1h ago
LabCraft is an AI-mentored learning platform. It is NOT a chatbot! Instead, it consists of course curriculum and an instrumented playground where learners can safely practice what they learn. The AI mentor observes the user's actions in the playground, and guides them towards the objective when they are stuck. This loop is iterated upon over time to improve the curriculum, the playground, and the mentor, all in service of providing to provide a better learning experience.

Currently, I'm focussed on Nix/NixOS. It is a useful piece of technology with a steep learning curve, and my goal is for LabCraft to help users overcome that. The playground consists of Linux VMs with instrumented shells that allows the AI mentor to observe the user running commands and guiding them as needed. Part 1 of ~48 parts of the Nix/NixOS course is live for all users today.

I'm looking for feedback from users on how and where we can improve the learning experience.
