I am having a hard time switching from Gmail to Thunderbird as email client. That's for the most part due to the great search and UI of gmail (and due to its snooze functionality!). To ease my migration, I created a Thunderbird extension adding message excerpts into the message lists, next to the subject line.

I think this rounds off the card view of Thunderbird really well.
